About SLM Holdings, Inc.
SLM was founded in April 2001 by a financial industry professional. The original product, The Broker's e-Vantage (TBeV), was designed (for internal use) to lower expenses, increase productivity (closing ratios and dial output) and to provide more efficient management practices by leveraging technology. Since its creation, TBeV has evolved into a web based platform, designed to enable Financial Advisors to eliminate the paper associated with prospecting for new business. It allows the advisors to work smarter, not harder. With a built in stock ticker, an advisor could now search his entire database for an individual stock position, or even by a group, such as, all stocks/funds that are up by a certain percentage. With TBeV as the core application, SLM developed several complimentary product lines, including an advanced, high net worth prospecting system (leads), a VoIP auto-dialer, an email campaign management system and others.
In 2006, SLM was introduced to VerticalFalls Software, Inc. (VF). While SLM had built a robust product, focused on prospect management, it was lacking in client management. VF had built an application based on Sage Software’s ACT!. VF customized that application for the financial services industry and named it Financial Advisor Compliance and Tracking (FAct). VF was extremely successful in leveraging their relationship with ACT! and sold over 17,000 copies to brokers at firms including Merrill Lynch, Wachovia, Smith Barney, and others. VF’s primary market was large wire house firms. VF eventually sold the source code for FAct to Sage Software in 2006 and the majority of the remaining assets were sold to SLM in late 2007.
SLM has leveraged the capabilities and experience of both firms to provide an unrivaled contact and business management solution for the financial services industry. The newly combined entity now has the ability to fulfill the needs of any financial advisor, large or small, new or old. We provide solutions for a low monthly cost or a one-time fee (hosted or stand-alone). The new SLM offers a turnkey, personalized business management solution to the financial advisor.

SLM Acquires Vertical Falls
Since the announcement of the acquisition in October 2007, SLM has made significant progress marketing a turnkey solution based on ACT! For Financial Professionals (AFFP), a software program that provides an all-inclusive contact business management system for financial professionals, and Gazoota.com, a comprehensive database and social networking tool comprised of only High Net Worth individuals.
